<tr><td>Tetouan, Morocco, October 1, 2009- the surprising Algerian team, the host team Morocco and Cameroon joined the defending champions Egypt to the semifinal spot of the 2009 Men’s African Nations championship after the fifth and last day of the preliminary round that featured a valuable victory for Algeria over Tunisia to kick the record holder from the podium for the first time in the history of African championships. Libya beat Morocco in a thriller encounter in front of a full house of spectators here at Titouan Stadium Hall in Morocco on Thursday. The victory made equal win- loss ratio between three teams Cameroon, Morocco and Libya but with the point ratio Cameroon and Morocco qualified as first and second while Libya plays for 5-8 brackets. The last day showed also Botswana achieving their first victory against Gabon to play for the 5-8 brackets.
